Get ready Northwich! The town’s most iconic celebration, the Piña Colada Festival, is gearing up for an even bigger and better return in 2025—and we want YOU to be part of the action!

Visit Northwich, the event organiser of the festival, is inviting passionate locals to join the brand-new Piña Colada Festival Ambassador Committee, which is dedicated purely to shaping the future of this legendary event. Whether you’re brimming with creative ideas or simply love seeing Northwich shine, this is your chance to have a say on the town’s signature celebration.

While the committee won’t be responsible for organising the event itself, ambassadors will play a pivotal role in brainstorming fresh ideas, setting the festival’s direction, and working hand-in-hand with local businesses to take things to the next level. With regular meetings throughout the year, committee members will have an exclusive opportunity to steer Northwich’s biggest party into uncharted, tropical territory!

Do you know the history behind the festival? Rupert Holmes, the singer-songwriter behind the world-famous “Piña Colada Song,” was born in Northwich – and Northwich local Tom Barrow, the first official member of the committee, kickstarted the idea of celebrating town’s Piña Colada connection. Now, Tom’s ready to help plan the best line-up yet, with your help.

Tom says: “If you’re passionate about Northwich, then this is the perfect opportunity to share your ideas and contribute to the town’s biggest event.  From cocktails and Mr Colada, to seas of Woollen Toppers, The PCF has become this uniquely very ‘Northwich thing’ that no other town can lay claim to.”

Since its debut, the Piña Colada Festival has become Northwich’s crown jewel, drawing crowds from across the region for a day of Caribbean-inspired vibes, live music, mouthwatering food, and of course, Piña Coladas galore. With the assistance of the Piña Colada ambassadors, this incredible event can grow even bigger, better, and bolder—cementing Northwich’s place as the ultimate tropical hotspot in the UK.

Ellis Wardle, Chair of Northwich BID, said:
“I encourage all local businesses to start planning now to make this unique event even bigger and better this year. The Piña Colada Festival is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible talent, creativity, and hospitality that Northwich has to offer. When the whole town gets behind it, we create something truly special.

“Not only does the festival bring a vibrant atmosphere to the town, but it also provides a major boost for local businesses—drawing visitors from across Manchester, Chester, and Liverpool, and putting Northwich firmly on the map as a must-visit destination. There’s no other event quite like it, and we’re excited to see how businesses embrace the day to make it unforgettable for everyone who attends.”
