Northwich’s businesses were celebrated this week as the town hosted its very first Customer Excellence Awards, recognising outstanding service, dedication and community spirit across the high street and beyond.
Organised by Northwich BID, the inaugural awards brought together local businesses, partners and stakeholders for an evening dedicated to the people and places that help make Northwich a destination with a difference.
More than 6,500 public votes were cast across 10 categories, highlighting the strength of feeling residents and visitors have for the businesses that serve them every day.
Ellis Wardle, Chair of Northwich BID, said:
“It was fantastic to see so many people come together for the first Customer Excellence Awards. These awards are about recognising the businesses and individuals who go above and beyond for their customers day in, day out. The standard across every category was incredibly high and every finalist should be immensely proud of the role they play in shaping Northwich.”
The awards showcased the diversity of Northwich’s business community, from independent retailers and cafés to national brands with strong local roots, professional services, hospitality, and newcomers making their mark on the town.
Lynn Riley, Northwich BID Project Manager, added:
“What really stood out throughout the awards was the strength of Northwich’s community. These businesses aren’t just delivering great service – they’re building relationships, supporting one another and contributing to a town that people are proud to live and work in. The quality, warmth and individuality of Northwich’s businesses is what makes this place so special, and these awards were a wonderful way to celebrate that.”
