We’re on the look out for artists & creatives to help us bring a whole month of unique & exciting activities to northwich town centre over the month of july!
Following the success of the first Northwich Festival of Arts over the last 2 years, Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) is leading on the development of the third festival running throughout July 2020.
The BID is once again working with a number of partners including Northwich Art Shop, Visual Arts Cheshire, town centre businesses, Barons Quay and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The partners want to build on the success of previous Arts Festivals by delivering events which attract visitors to Northwich. The festival aims to showcase the cultural and artistic talent that exists in our town and surrounding area and will encompass existing events in July including: The Visual Arts Cheshire Art Trail, Northwich Art Shop’s Grand Day Out and Northwich Rotary’s River Festival. Partners will also be working with live music venues, bars and cafes throughout the town.
Activity can be indoor or outdoor and could include (but is not limited to):
Theatre/Performance
Music
Dance
Film & Digital Arts
Visual Arts
Pavement Art
Graffiti Art
Cartoonists
Tattoo Art
Practitioners will need to co-ordinate their own activities within the town centre and this may include working with a venue to deliver your activity.
To express an interest you will need to complete a short proposal (A4 side) which includes:
- A little bit about you or your organisation
- What you would like to deliver
- When you would be able to deliver
- Preferred location for delivery (does this have a cost you need to consider?)
- Who your audience would be
- What the cost is for you to deliver the activity
If your application is successful, you will also need to provide a copy of your public liability insurance, a risk assessment and a DBS check if working with children or vulnerable adults.

The closing date for expressions of interest is Friday 14th February 2020.
