Businesses in Northwich town centre are coming together to support Victoria Infirmary’s (VIN) fundraising appeal, with a charity shopping evening taking place on Thursday 2nd March.

Chapel Gifts & Home and Board Beans are teaming up for this charity evening and both independent businesses have agreed to give away 20% of all sales to Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.

The charity needs to raise £100,000 to create a dedicated children’s waiting room and to fund additional extras to improve the care and experience for people using services at the infirmary.

Beck from Chapel Gifts & Home explained that “VIN is such an important part of Northwich, we didn’t think twice about getting involved and supporting them in their ambitious plans. The best part of organising this event is seeing the fantastic support we’ve had from other local independent businesses in Northwich.”

Businesses across Northwich have donated prizes for a raffle that will be held at the evening event, with Vincent James, Helen’s Hair Studio, Apparel, Bruschetta, Barber, Phase 1, Resonate Financial Planning & Ivy Cottage Interiors all offering something special to be won.

Betsy from Board Beans added “To donate 20% of our sales for one night is something that we’re proud to do and hope to see local people coming out to support us in raising money for this vital charity who want to improve services at the VIN. We’ll be open until 10pm and alongside board games, we have a selection of food and drink available.”

On the evening there will be chocolate & fizz at Chapel Gifts & Home shopping event (5:30pm to 8:30pm) and Board Beans will be welcoming people in its usual fun style of table games for all ages (5:30pm to 10pm).

Both businesses are located at the top of Witton Street, just before the Northwich Library building.

Carole Salmon, Partnerships Fundraiser at Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity said “We were delighted to be contacted with this generous offer of support for our appeal. Victoria Infirmary has been at the heart of the local community for over 100 years. Events like this really hi-light how everyone coming together can make a difference to the people of Northwich every day.”
