Booking Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to tickets purchased for Northwich Firefest (“the Event”), organised by Northwich Town Council (“the Organiser”).

By purchasing a ticket for, or attending, Northwich Firefest, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to comply with any reasonable instructions given by Event staff, stewards, security personnel or emergency services.

  1. Tickets

1.1 Tickets are valid only for the Event, date and ticket type stated on the ticket.

1.2 Tickets must be purchased online through visitnorthwich.co.uk only.

1.3 Please check your tickets carefully at the time of purchase. Tickets cannot normally be exchanged or transferred after purchase.

1.4 Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain or used as part of an unauthorised promotion, competition or commercial package.

1.5 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission where a ticket is believed to be fraudulent, duplicated, altered or otherwise invalid.

1.6 Lost or damaged tickets may not be replaceable. Please retain your booking confirmation and/or ticket until after the Event.

  1. Ticket Refunds

2.1 Tickets are non-refundable unless the Event is cancelled or the Organiser is otherwise required by law to provide a refund.

2.2 If the Event is cancelled, ticket holders will be provided with information about any refund arrangements as soon as reasonably practicable.

2.3 Booking, transaction or administration fees may be non-refundable where permitted by the applicable ticketing provider and/or law.

2.4 If the Event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets may remain valid for the rearranged date. Further information will be provided to ticket holders in the event of a postponement.

  1. Event Changes and Cancellation

3.1 The Organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Event, including changes to timings, entertainment, activities, site layout, access arrangements and facilities.

3.2 Fireworks and other Event activities may be altered, delayed, curtailed or cancelled where the Organiser considers this necessary for safety or operational reasons.

3.3 The Event may be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances including, but not limited to, severe weather, high winds, ground conditions, fire risk, public safety concerns, emergency situations, instructions from emergency services or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser.

3.4 Every reasonable effort will be made to deliver the Event as advertised, but no particular entertainment, display, activity or timing is guaranteed.

  1. Weather

4.1 Northwich Firefest is an outdoor event and will take place in a range of weather conditions unless the Organiser considers conditions unsafe.

4.2 Ticket holders should dress appropriately for the weather and ground conditions. The Event site may become muddy, wet or uneven.

4.3 Attendees should take particular care when walking around the site and follow any instructions or restrictions put in place by Event staff.

  1. Admission and Security

5.1 Entry is subject to a valid ticket and any applicable age or supervision requirements.

5.2 Security checks may be carried out on arrival. You may be asked to have bags or belongings checked.

5.3 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the Event, any person whose behaviour is considered unsafe, threatening, abusive, disruptive or otherwise inappropriate.

5.4 Anyone removed from the Event may not be entitled to a refund.

5.5 Attendees must follow reasonable instructions from Event staff, stewards, security personnel and emergency services at all times.

  1. Children and Young People

6.1 Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

6.2 Children must not be left unattended anywhere within the Event site.

6.3 Parents and guardians remain responsible for the children in their care throughout the Event.

6.4 The Organiser may introduce specific age restrictions or supervision requirements for particular areas or activities where necessary for safety.

  1. Prohibited Items

For safety reasons, the following items are not permitted unless specifically authorised by the Organiser:

  • Fireworks, sparklers, flares or other pyrotechnics
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Glass bottles or containers
  • Any flammable or hazardous materials
  • Drones or other unauthorised flying equipment
  • Laser pointers
  • Items which could reasonably cause injury, damage or disruption
  • Any other item which Event staff reasonably consider unsafe or inappropriate

The Organiser reserves the right to prohibit additional items where necessary for safety or operational reasons.

  1. Alcohol, Smoking and Vaping

8.1 The Organiser may operate restrictions on bringing alcohol onto the Event site. Details of any permitted or prohibited items will be communicated before and/or at the Event.

8.2 Alcohol must not be consumed in any area where it is prohibited.

8.3 Smoking and vaping are prohibited in any designated no-smoking areas.

8.4 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is intoxicated or whose behaviour is affected by alcohol or drugs to the extent that they present a safety or nuisance risk.

  1. Dogs and Animals

9.1 Dogs and other animals are not permitted at the Event.

9.2 Assistance dogs are welcome, subject to reasonable Event safety requirements.

9.3 Due to the nature of the Event, including loud fireworks and large crowds, owners should carefully consider whether bringing an assistance or other animal to the Event is appropriate.

  1. Accessibility

10.1 The Organiser will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the Event is accessible and inclusive.

10.2 Some areas of the Event site may have uneven, muddy or grass surfaces and access may be affected by weather conditions.

10.3 If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact the Organiser before the Event wherever possible so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.

  1. Fireworks, Bonfire and Safety

11.1 Northwich Firefest includes a bonfire and professional fireworks display. Attendees should remain within designated viewing areas and must follow all safety instructions.

11.2 Attendees must not enter restricted areas, the bonfire area, fireworks launch areas or other areas designated as staff-only.

11.3 The Organiser reserves the right to move, restrict or close areas of the site where necessary for public safety.

11.4 Parents and guardians should be aware that fireworks and other Event activities involve loud noises, bright flashes, smoke and crowds.

  1. Photography and Filming

12.1 Photography and filming may take place at the Event for purposes including recording the Event, publicity, communications and promotion of future Northwich Firefest and other Northwich Town Council activities.

12.2 By attending the Event, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs or recordings taken at the Event.

12.3 If you have a particular concern about appearing in Event photography or filming, please speak to a member of the Event team.

  1. Personal Belongings and Lost Property

13.1 Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending the Event.

13.2 The Organiser does not accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13.3 Lost property should be handed to, or reported to, an Event steward or designated information point.

  1. Liability

14.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

14.2 Subject to the above, the Organiser will not be responsible for loss or damage which is not reasonably foreseeable or which arises from circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control.

14.3 Attendees are responsible for taking reasonable care of themselves and others while attending the Event and must comply with all safety instructions.

  1. Personal Data

15.1 Personal information collected during the ticket purchasing process will be handled in accordance with the Organiser’s applicable Privacy Notice and the ticketing provider’s privacy policy.

15.2 Personal information will only be used for legitimate purposes connected with ticketing, Event administration, safety, customer service and other purposes explained in the relevant privacy information.

  1. General

16.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the Event, applicable law, guidance or operational requirements.

16.2 Any additional rules or instructions communicated on the ticket, Event website, signage or by Event staff form part of these Terms & Conditions.

16.3 If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

16.4 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
