After a festive season filled with treats and lots of delicious food and drink, it’s no wonder that by the time January comes round, many decide to focus on their health and wellbeing. And with Northwich offering one of the healthiest high streets, this is the perfect place to get started!

Let’s Get Moving

Northwich is fortunate to be home to several gyms and fitness centres, ensuring you’ll have no problem finding the right style of class and space for your fitness journey.

As well as Snap Fitness in Barons Quay and Strong Girl Collective off Witton Street, there’s also Pure Gym (studio pictured below), Brio Leisure, and Dave’s Gym all within a stone’s throw of the high street.

As well as gyms, the town centre has several well-being studios, offering a range of mindful activities, including yoga, meditation and even belly dancing! Mind Body Balance Academy, Rosebank Wellbeing, Hotpod Yoga and Groove Asana all offer a range of classes and are suitable for beginners through to more experienced practitioners.

If you fancy exercising in the fresh air, why not give Northwich park run a try? Not only is it free to attend but they welcome runners of all levels of fitness, and you can bring your dog, child & pushchair, and you don’t have to run! If you’d like to start out by walking the route, which begins in Carey Park, you’ll find lots of other like-minded people doing the same.

For those thinking of taking up a new sport, Northwich’s Family Martial Arts Academy on Tabley Street has a range of classes for all levels of experience, including a women’s self-defence class – they offer a free taster class so you can go down and give it a try.

And Brio offers a wide range of classes, physical activities including the pool along with help and support around healthy lifestyles.
