Northwich Art Shop is joining forces with Visual Arts Cheshire to organise a Spring Open Exhibition at VAC’s Pop Up Gallery in Barons Quay (opposite Wildwood) running from 13th April -13th May.

The exhibition is open to anyone aged over 16 who may enter up to three pieces of artwork for consideration. Selected work will be included in the exhibition and on sale to the general public.

‘This is the first Spring Open we have organised’, commented Phil Carswell from Visual Arts Cheshire, ‘ and we hope it will be a great addition to our programme at the gallery’. ‘The Northwich Art Shop has been a huge supporter of VAC over the years, and we have collaborated on a number of occasions, and we are looking forward to developing this new offer to our local artists’.

VAC will also be hosting its Annual Art Trail in July, so artists will have a second opportunity to enter work if they are not successful in getting all their work in the Spring Open.

Entries are being encouraged from a wide variety of artists and makers; this includes (but isn’t limited to) painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, glasswork, textiles etc. We are now open for entries, and details of how to do this can be found at www.visualartscheshire.blogspot.com. Anyone with a general enquiry can do this by email to [email protected]. Entries close on Friday, March 17th.

Phil Bower, the owner of Northwich Art Shop, says that ‘we are excited to work with Visual Arts Cheshire to deliver this Spring open exhibition. We hope it gives our many creative artists and makers an opportunity to share their work with the public.
