We at Visit Northwich recently took the opportunity to go and visit the team at Your Housing Group and were so impressed from the moment we stepped into the building. Situated on the banks of the River Dane, Waters Cross offers a range of 70 stylish 1 and 2-bedroom apartments for over 55s, available for both outright sale and shared ownership. The development which is located on Watling Street and opened earlier this year, August 2021, brings boutique hotel-style living to Northwich town centre.
Walking in through the main entrance, we were greeted straightaway by an amazing, hand-painted art mural which includes key landmarks in Northwich. We can see the Town Swing Bridge right in the centre above Waters Cross, the Lion Salt Works on the right, Anderton Boat Lift on the left, Davenports on the right, Marbury County Park at the bottom and The Plaza on the left where Music Northwich recently held their PlazaPalooza. A great reminder of what you have right on your doorstep when living at Waters Cross!
Straight-away this evokes nostalgic memories for local residents walking into the building – a great way to make people feel at home. The high-level of safety and security is also very apparent from the off-set.
 The staff really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable in the building and have got their own personal connections with the town – the Head of Sales at Your Housing Group is Northwich through and through, having grown up in the town centre.
 We were lucky enough to be taken on a tour of the apartments and were met with practical, modern, and luxurious living spaces. They don’t just look the part – the apartments are finished to the highest standard with contemporary furnishings and facilities.
 The best part about it is, many of the rooms overlook the town centre, meaning that when you are relaxing at home you can take in the character and beauty of the quaint timber-framed Victorian properties visible through the windows.
What we also love about Waters Cross is the communal areas within the building. The much-loved Kanya Café Bar and Bistro are located downstairs, providing a relaxing and inviting communal area for residents. You can be assured of a warm welcome from Monika and the rest of the team, who are trained to a professional standard.
As well, the beautiful, landscaped gardens and courtyard provide the perfect opportunity for residents to use the space as they wish; relaxing, unwinding or socialising with their neighbours.
 It’s clear to us that these apartments were built with their audience in mind. Now they are just looking for the right people to enjoy and take advantage of these gorgeous private and communal spaces.
