A Northwich business is celebrating a milestone this month after reaching a quarter of a century of trading in the town centre.

Lock-tec, who are based at the bottom of Castle Street, reached their 25th anniversary this December and held a small party at their premises to mark the occasion.

Managing Director Glen Whalley has spoken about how proud he is of the team and what they have all achieved over the last 25 years.

“I am extremely grateful for the many years’ service from our dedicated team. Being surrounded by experienced and loyal staff that are proficient in their area of expertise has made me extremely proud of where we are and what we have achieved,” said Glen.

“Myself, Paul and the team would also like to thank all of our customers for the opportunity and business provided over the years, we are very grateful.”

Initially set up by Glen in 1993 and based in Warrington, Lock-tec came to Northwich in 1998 when the company moved to Dane Street and remained there until the Castle Street switch in 2013. Prior to this, in 2008 Lock-tec became a Limited company and Paul Tattum moved to the position of Director after many years’ service.

The company offers advice and support across a number of areas including access control, locksmithing, key cutting, vehicle key programming and services relating to safes and home or building security.

Although the company has been fondly looking back at the last 25 years this month, they also have one eye firmly on the future and believe their experience will stand them in good stead for ensuring happy clients in the future.

“At Lock-tec, we are confident that our knowledge, skills and customer service rank amongst the best in our industry,” commented Glen.

“We invite anyone to talk to us and see what sets us apart and look forward to hearing from anyone who has any questions relating to keys, locks and building security.”
