Partnership working between Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) and Northwich Town Council (NTC) is continuing to deliver benefits to the town, five years after the two organisations started collaborating on projects.
During that time the Northwich BID and NTC have teamed up on numerous occasions to help make the town an even better place for businesses, workers, residents and visitors.
This has included jointly funded events such as the seasonal Extravaganzas, ensuring the town has vibrant floral displays and raising the profile of Northwich through entering awards such as North West in Bloom and Great British High Streets.
The town centre bodies have joined forces again recently too, completing a project to improve the landscaped area around the subway, undertake additional cleansing of the town and jet wash the pavements.
By working together, Northwich BID and NTC are able to deliver bigger and better initiatives and pool resources in certain areas to help drive progress and improvements across the town centre.
Northwich BID Project Manager Adam Gerrard has spoken about the partnership and the positive changes it helps bring to Northwich.
“Collaboration is what makes the town centre successful,” said Adam. “It means we can achieve better value for money but deliver more at the same time. You only need to look at how the Christmas Extravaganza has grown down the years to see evidence of this.
Adam went on to add: “Working with such a proactive and co-operative town council here in Northwich has really helped the BID deliver on some of our objectives and we can’t wait to continue to grow the partnership over the coming years.”
Northwich Town Clerk Chris Shaw expanded upon Adam’s comments, saying: “Thanks to our partnership with the BID we are able to push Northwich forward and truly make it a destination that people enjoy visiting from the local area and beyond.
“It’s been great to work with the BID on such a wide range of positive projects and developments over the last five years and we’re looking forward to building on this in 2021.”
