Fill up your 2020 calendar with these great events in Northwich this year!
There were so many fantastic events in Northwich last year and 2020 is set to be another year of celebration. There’s already lots lined up so get them written down in your calendar now to make sure you don’t miss out! There will be the return of old favourites as well as a few new events coming to the town this year so keep reading to discover what’s on in Northwich in 2020!
1. Seasonal Favourites
This year will see the return of Northwich’s seasonal favourites. These reoccurring events draw crowds to the town centre every year and never fail to entertain.
The Easter Extravaganza will take place on Saturday 11th April! There will be lots of activities in Northwich including face painting, balloon modelling, crafts and The Great Northwich Easter Hunt! It’s the perfect event for families.
2020 has only just begun but the end of the year will see some great events in Northwich. There will be a variety of firework displays including the return of FireFest. It’s bound to be another fabulous event full of amazing fireworks! Also, make sure you don’t miss out on Christmas in Northwich this year as it’s always a great, festive celebration for the whole family. (Exact dates to be confirmed nearer the time)
2. For Art Lovers
Prepare to get into the creative spirit this July with the much-loved Northwich Festival of Arts. It is set to be an excellent month of celebration with contributions from Cheshire Dance, Barnton Circus, Northwich Art Shop, Roberts Bakery Band, Northwich Rotary’s River Festival and much more!

The Northwich Memorial Court plays host to a variety of amazing shows throughout the year. This year there are shows for adults, children and the whole family including the Bowie Experience, Manford’s Comedy Club, The Wizard of Ox and Shrek the Musical. 3. New Events
Get your adrenaline pumping when Krazy Races comes to Northwich for the first time in June! Thousands of spectators are expected to come to Northwich to cheer on the weird and wonderful SoapBox Derby entrants as they hurtle down Castle Hill in homemade karts. This will be the first time the event has taken place in the town. Unfortunately applications to take part have now closed however the event will be free to watch.
Get ready to celebrate as the town is introducing their very first Northwich Pride this summer. There haven’t been many details released about the event as of yet however it is worth noting in your diary. It is set to be an event to remember!
