Listen to the lively commentary from our knowledgeable Boat Crew and learn how this iconic iron framework, known as the ‘Cathedral of the Canals’ is a triumph of Victorian Engineering, forging its place in history by lifting canal boats between the Weaver River Navigation and the Trent & Mersey Canal.
Our fully accessible, covered trip boat provides the opportunity to see the Anderton Boat Lift from a unique perspective. Take in the scenery of the Weaver Navigation, once a busy commercial waterway and now a haven for wildlife and a peaceful retreat for everyone to enjoy.
Our boat trips are dog friendly (at the Boat Crew’s discretion) and last approximately one hour.
