This exhibition celebrates inspiring stories from the LGBT+ community and the Northwich and Cheshire Pride Community Quilt Project. In Telling Our Stories, focus is given to two projects in which the people of Cheshire have made their voices heard using textiles to tackle issues around diversity, inclusion, and the LGBT+ community.
Over recent years, Body Positive and Silver Rainbows have worked with the LGBT+ community to produce a Cheshire memorial quilt. The Northwich and Cheshire Pride Community Quilt Project seeks to bring people together to create handmade patches, each representing local figures, organisations, friends, family, and personal journeys within the LGBT+ community.
Come along and take part in a patch making session for the quilt at Weaver Hall on Saturday 19 October from 2 to 4pm.
