The 2020 Northwich Calendar is now available to buy and has once again been produced by Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC) in partnership with DAN Community and the Northwich Art Shop.

As with the previous six editions, the calendar features scenes from Northwich and surrounding areas that are produced by locally based artists. The images capture the town’s heritage, as well as some of the stunning scenery and waterways in the area.

Alan Carr, Chairman of Visual Arts Cheshire, said: “Northwich has so much to offer and the paintings are a lovely way to show off our town.

“Each year, the calendar – which represents great value at only £5 – becomes more popular. It is a great present for friends and family living locally as well as those who have moved away from the area.

“We are delighted that prints of the calendar artworks will once again be exhibited at the historic Lion Salt Works Museum (from 30th November to 5th January in the Thompson Suite) and hope that as in previous years, the calendar will be a sell-out.”

The artists who have kindly contributed to the 2020 Northwich Calendar are:

Carol Dooley, Christine Howard, Patricia Kelsall, Melissa Lewis, David & Rosemary North, Ron Stephens, Jim Stanley, Diana Bernice Tackley, Peter Twist, Brigitte Watkinson and Donald Wilson.

Visual Arts Cheshire is a Northwich community arts organisation whose aim is to establish another gallery in the town centre. Amongst VAC’s many activities are exhibitions, the successful summer Art Trail, the Children’s Art Trail, Heritage Open Days events and the Northwich Calendar.

The A4-size 2020 calendar, which is the 7th in the series, costs £5 and is available from the Northwich Art Shop, Weaver Hall Museum, Lion Salt Works, Northwich Library and Northwich Information Centre. Orders can also be made online.
