Well lucky for you, The Core Nutrition, which was previously based on Ash Street, have just moved to a fantastic premises in Northwich town centre – opposite The Salty Dog on the High Street. They are currently open between 6 am – 11 am but have plans to open over lunchtime too in the future! It’s looking so welcoming already, however they are not quite done with decorating – there are still plans for new lighting and a living wall!

About the business

Owners John and Kay-leigh have opened the business as they wanted to offer people a sustainable and healthy way to look after their bodies and reach their fitness goals. By focusing on individuals’ long-term goals, they help people to achieve these by providing advice on taking bite-sized steps over a period of time, as well as motivating their community to stay on track. No more strict diet plans & unachievable ‘quick fixes’ to weight loss. People often don’t realise that reaching your desired weight is 80% nutrition, 20% exercise! Their aim it to educate and help as many people as possible without pushing too hard and putting people under pressure to achieve their goals. As part of their plan, they encourage people to eat 6 times a day – this includes 3 meals and 3 snacks with a balanced split of nutrients.

Eating out

Another thing that people often struggle with on their fitness journey is eating out. When eating at a restaurant or take away, it is easy to feel guilty after for going off plan or simply feel anxiety due to not knowing what’s in the food that’s being consumed. However, these guys are providing people with healthier meal options at our local restaurants, shops and take-aways including Sunny BBQ, K2 Indian, Abda Ltd, BEAR and Weigh of the World.

Community atmosphere

During lockdown, their business grew rapidly, and they gained a lot of online clients, as well as keeping connected to their current members such as Debbie, who has been a loyal member for over 2 years! Initially, her intention was to lose weight and get fit. She loves the no-pressure atmosphere and the passion for healthy living that Kay-leigh and John encourage – this is what’s made her stay.
