Hotpod Yoga Northwich and Rock Salt Running have announced an exciting partnership providing a new day time running group activity.
The partnership kicks off on Tuesday 3rd March with a Couch to 5K day time running programme. This scheme aims to provide everyone with a chance to start running in a safe and welcoming environment. The goal is to progress from doing little exercise to running a 5k in 10 weeks. Participants can then advance onto 10k over an additional 8 weeks!
People are invited to test the concept at free trials on Thursdays throughout February. This is a great opportunity to see if running is for you in a fun and social environment!
The group will meet at Hotpod Yoga Northwich on the High Street on Tuesday 3rd March for their first run. Participants are then invited to stretch their body out in the warmth of an 11am Hotpod yoga class. The two sessions work well with each other as a great cardio workout before building strength in the Yoga session. Guests are also welcome to decide whether they want to attend both sessions or just one.
“We’ve had such an amazing welcome to Northwich by all the local people since we opened our hot yoga studio and we are so excited with this new partnership. We love to encourage people to get moving and be healthy. Running and hot yoga is also an amazing combination to do and we hope people will love this new scheme” reflects Minna Scaife, Founder of Hotpod Yoga Northwich.
“We believe running can be for anyone. I can’t speak highly enough of the benefits after being coached through the NHS endorsed couch to 5k programme myself three years ago. Exercise, particularly running, is a natural and powerful anti-depressant and it has helped me tremendously. We’re really excited about this partnership. Yoga has so many characteristics that support core strength and injury prevention. It’s a great combination!” Charlotte Mills, Founder of Rock Salt Running.
