A local wellness club had its own ‘makeover’ as it surpasses more than 1,000 members who collectively lose over one tonne of weight every month, the equivalent of a black rhino, since launching the community in 2020.
The popular ‘Nutrition at the Hangout’ community club has changed its name to ‘The Core’ as it focuses on much more than just nutrition for its members. Members also receive online and group fitness and wellness support on their transformational journeys as well as an enriched diet to achieve their individual goals.
Northwich-based couple John Fielding and Kay-Leigh Richardson, who launched The Core in 2019 now have some 46 personal guides supporting the growing base of 1,100 members.
John commented: “Our aim at The Core is to help local people to live their best lives by taking control of their nutrition. Whether this is by losing weight, gaining weight, toning their body or taking action to relieve the symptoms of an illness or unbalanced lifestyle – we help them gain the knowledge and understanding to ease their journey.
“With our guidance people have literally changed their lives – many have drastically improved health, fitness and mobility as a result of following a programme that is individually tailored for them.”
The Core is also looking forward to opening its new nutrition premises at the former ‘Retros’ nightclub on Northwich High Street later this year.
Kay-Leigh says: “We have been utterly inspired by the real life changes we have seen taking place since offering our services to our local community. The next stage is to open a dedicated space to come and find out more about nutrition, check in with one of our guides or meet with others for a breakfast talk or just a catch up.”
