AFTER making its debut in September last year, the town’s tastebuds are set to be tantalised once again with the return of the Northwich Vegan Market
!It proved to be a big hit with visitors to the town when it was first held last year and on Saturday the 2nd. Well, it’s now back and will be bigger and better than ever!
Vegan Market Co run several similar events at 40 locations across the country, and company founder Lewis Beresford says he’s excited to be coming back to Northwich.
“We started out doing a market in Chester, and then it spread to many other locations in the North West. After holding our first one in Northwich last September and it’s great to be coming back! We work hard to find the country’s leading vegan producers, from street food vendors and bakers to ethical clothing and cosmetic producers. We also work with many local businesses we can and can’t wait to give all of these fantastic producers the platform they deserve and introduce them to the wonderful people of Northwich.
We’re really excited that this market is returning to Northwich and providing the opportunity for vegan food and produce to be showcased to a wider audience. It will also hopefully dispel some myths about the ever-growing way of life!
On the day you can expect a variety of vegan street foods, which, according to Lewis, are a good entry point for a lot of people.
“There will be quite a few artisan bakeries, including both sweet and savoury bakes, which always prove to be very popular too. We also have the store cupboard foods people can take away back to their homes. So, the likes of crafted chutneys and cooking sauces and things like that.”
But the market isn’t just about food. There will be plenty of ethical cosmetic items, clothes and accessories being sold as well! You can also expect to see a few environmental charities with stalls so so people can find out more about what they can do to help.
Northwich Vegan Market takes place on Saturday the 2nd of April at Apple Market Place between 10.30am-4pm. You can check out other events happening this year via the button below!
