Now in its 7th year, Northwich Art Trail returns more vibrant than ever with 45 retailers across Northwich town centre exhibiting the work of professional and amateur artists. All of the paintings will be available to buy and there will be an extra special pop-up gallery in the Visual Arts Centre pop-up gallery in the former Adams shop in Weaver Square.
6. Pina Colada Festival
Sat 21st August
Do you like Pina Coladas or getting caught in the rain? Northwich will host its first ever Pina Colada festival in celebration of both the tropical cocktail and former resident Rupert Holmes, who penned the song “Escape (The Pina Colada Song”) which saw worldwide acclaim in the 70’s. The event is borne out of a viral facebook post by lockdown quiz host Tom Barrow, who suggested that the town should pay tribute to one of the towns most acclaimed hitmakers. Featuring live performances across the town, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the cocktail served across the town, the event hopes to become a Northwich mainstay in coming years.
7. Beer and Drink Festival
Fri 17th September – Sat 18th September
The Rotary Club of Northwich will once again be hosting the ever popular Northwich Beer and Drink Festival for its 27th year at the Memorial Court, featuring a range of beers, ciders, an expanded gin bar and Prosecco as well as non-alcoholic alternatives. Raising money for local charities and good causes, the event will host live performances from local acts Spitting Feathers and Twisted Licks with over 50 different beers to choose from.
